"New” series actors Camille Coduri and Adam Garcia pops up here to talk about the Third Doctor. As noted by Steven Moffat, the Third Doctor had to start off with no one familiar with his face around. No doubt that what influenced Moffat on how to start the Eleventh Doctor with the Eleventh Hour. Pretty well the Third Doctor clips showing what an influence James Bond had on the Third Doctor era with Tennant also mentioning not just Bond but The Avengers as well. Interesting to hear from narrator Gareth Pierce that the surrounding characters were colleagues rather than companions. Tennant says that Liz started off being the Doctor’s equal only for her to become his sidekick due to the Doctor having superior technological knowledge and I guess that put Liz in her place. Jo is also talked about but somewhat disappointed that Jo herself Katy Manning was a no-show here for an interview. It was however still lovely to see her in clips of episodes that she was in. For the Famous Foes segment it looks at the Autons and the Master. When the Master as first played by Roger Delgado , he was developed as the Moriarty to the Doctor’s Sherlock Holmes. However no one used this description of the Master in this episode not even from Steven Moffat despite the fact that he co-created Sherlock. Quite noticeable when Tennant briefly emulated the Delgado Master’s hypnotic stare and it was a little bit unsettling thinking back on it now.
