My brain works like a commitee so I was in 3,987 minds about this one but I finally chose to go for 4/5 Stars which is very good. So, opinions please!

4/5 from me as well, it's a bleak, dark and eerie story which in my opinion is how the series works best. A little dull in places such as the repetitive scenes about Tegan needing an ambulance but other than that a fantastic story; love the scene between the Doctor and Davros.

3/5. The story is good, more adult than most past Doctor Who stories and at the end Tegan leaves: many people were happy about Adric's departure but despite her tiny skirt Tegan was quite a pain so I was happy to see her leave. ;D
Daleks and Davros ensure the success of an adventure but you start seeing that it's a cheap show: in the '70s that kind of special effects was acceptable, in the '80s things should have changed.

I actually found this one in my dusty video cupboard last night and watched it. I stick with my vote that its a good episode, but it is slow in places. Not enough pace.
Still, it gains bonus points for continuing the references to the Movellans, and it has Davros.

There is however one question, why 'Resurrection' of the Daleks? Why not something else in place of 'Resurrection'?

Eric Saward said something in the 'Revelation of the Daleks' DVD commentary about using the names of the books of the bible in titling his Dalek stories. eg Genesis Resurrection Revelation I suppose the first was genuinely used as a relevant title for the story by writer Terry Nation and Saward thought it would be interesting to use the bible aspect when he became script editor. |

If I wrote them (The latter two), I'd have given the stories a title more relevant to the plot, e.g.: "Revelation of the Daleks" would've become "The Graveyard Planet" or something similar.
Though Genesis for the former was most appropriate.

This story was actually intended for the season before, but industrial action saw to that.

I guess having "daleks" in the title draws more viewing figures. Although blows the twist in the story if you've been trying to make a build up to their appearance; such as if 'Destiny of the Daleks' had been called something else, the whole idea of the Doctor not knowing what planet he was on would have been more effective. |

Back in the sixties, each episode had an individual title so who'd have guessed their appearance at the end of the first part of, 'The Dalek Invasion of Earth'?
