Anybody Willing to Help Me?

Over the past several months, I have got less and less time to work on the website. I don't want to shut it down, or stop updating.

But I need to share the work so new entries could be added to the Reference Guide on a more regular basis.

I need people with minimal HTML skill to prepare things such as templates for the new releases pages -- creating the page, adding the available info (cast, short summary, relase date, isbn,...), finding a cover picture and resizing it, and so on. It mostly cutting and pasting stuff.

Let's start with the following sections:

The new K-9 series
I need somebody to create a set of page similar to my Torchwood section. Individual story pages, and a main page that list all of the stories.

DVD section
I haven't updated the DVD section in years. So an up to date overhaul is really needed. The Reference Guide is not profitable, but the Amazon links from the DVD, audio and books section at least covers the cost of hosting.

This job would also cover the addition of the DVD release infos on each story individual page.

What sort of help do you need?

I use your site for all sorts of research and to remind myself of certain things. I'm a long time Doctor Who fan since the mid 90's, reading Target novels and buying VHS. Currently reading the BBC novels, whilst catching up with old classic episodes on DVD as well as New Who.

I know basic HTML and can do some synopsis if required.

In an ideal world, I'd get enough people to take care of different parts of the website -- Big Finish audios, BBC audios, Comics books & strips, novels, episodes.

One of the big part of the work is the synopses, but another one is adding the blank pages for each release, with the cast infos, blurb, cover pictures, release informations, etc.

When you get a total 2 or 3 release a month, as it was when I started the website years ago, it's easily manageable. But when you get multiple audio ranges, comic strips and novels, I would need to put 10 times the amount of work I used to do.

Other pages that need updating : DVD release pages, along every one of the related story page. Audio release pages, also adding the information on the related pages if it's a soundtrack. The Links page has not been updated in ages. Also the pages for Torchwood, K-9 series and the Sarah Jane Adventures.

One thing I don't worry is the overall look. I don't plan to bring it to the current standards unless somebody is really willing to work on it.

I think the main goal for now would be to and the missing entries, and then look for people to write the missing synopses.

I already have your synopses up to The Angels Takes Manatthan. I would need the next ones starting with The Snowmen.

I'd love to help, but I know nothing about how to run a website. I can send updates whenever I can. Do you need help with the placement of stories? I can do that too. I've been updating a reference for myself. microsoft excel. I have a good idea where most of the audios go, but some are just guesses. so let me know & I'll see what I can do

Oh wow. I haven't posted since 2006...just noticed the gears moving again.

Maybe...maybe I can look at the DWM or IDW comics? I wouldn't mind putting that together...

I still have a few DWM strips summaries to post, but you can certainly srart with the IDW ones.
