I enjoyed the recent reconstruction of The Invasion done by Cosgrove Studis in episodes 1 and 4.Since it was done once, it could be done again. Which serials would you like to be redone this way and why?I am only counting Harnell serials here.

I enjoy Susan, so I would like to see Reign of Terror done this way. I am sure many of you would like the Tenth Planet.

I would have thought someone would choose all of them. I would like to see all 3 serials put on dvd if possible. It may take a long time though. Also, I asked you to choose just one.

They wanted to see if the process would work. If the Invasion sells well, it will only be a matter of time until they try another story using this process. I think The Tenth Planet would be right at the top of the list. It is missing only 1 episode.

I didn't vote for all 3 serials because I'm not a fan of either "The Reign of Terror" or "The Crusade".

It may be missing one episode but for me theres a big hole in the plot because of it.

I started this thread on the presumption 2entertain would make more dvds with animation in the future. Someone has posted they will make no more dvds with animation. Has anyone heard anything more about this, or is this just false information? I would appreciate any further information on this, as it will make my 2 threads obsolete if this is true, unless a new company chooses to fill the animation void. Maybe the staff or another poster could provide confirmation of this.

Daniel Hall, the commissioning editor for 2Entertain, recently made the following announcement on the Restoration Team website:
"After due consideration and for the foreseeable future, we are withdrawing from co-commissioning and co-producing any "classic" Doctor Who animations. I feel our energies will be better spent working on existing stories. With the New Series such a success, and the forthcoming animations for Totally Doctor Who, the BBC is in a far superior position to develop this idea. After all, the original commission of The Invasion came from them."
This doesn't mean that there won't ever be any more animated episodes, but it does mean that 2Entertain will no longer have a part in producing them, the decision rests with the BBC.

I do hope the BBC does decide to develop them. It is a really good idea to animate missing episodes of older, missing episodes.

It's the least they could do after destroying them in the first place.

I don't think anything will happen until the new series ends.
