Until They Get Home: Season 2 finale. It looks like this was written as a probable finale to the series. With David and Michael and the girls talking to each other respectively, things begin to get as normal as they can for them. In the final scene we finally see David and Michael out in the real world together instead of talking to each other on Zoom. If this is over for Staged then it certainly been a fun ride at home.

Staged 1592: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQMSBEesAt0Made for Red Nose Day for Comic Relief in March 2021 with David Tennant, Michael Sheen and guest star Sir Lenny Henry. The setting is 1592 with David and Michael in costume playing well known playwrights. Funny how they went about this and also funny when Henry came in and a certain explanation that he gives here.

Is There a Version?: Season 3 opener. Funny this sees David and Michael being mad at Simon and therefore didn’t want to talk to him. Also funny the Neil Gaiman at the end and Gaiman had created Good Omens which David and Michael also star in.

Who’s Playing Who: Season 3, Episode 2. Funny exchange that took place here including the topic of the smell of chickens. This episode ends with the brief series debut by Jim Broadbent and Broadbent, like David, had played the Doctor which makes the episode title rather fitting although I can’t find any evidence that it is a Doctor Who reference.

Past: Season 3, Episode 3. The episode title refers to events in the past leading to what the current situation as the gang reflects on this. Definitely resonates with me as it is something I experience every day questioning what things I would have done differently.

Present: Antepenultimate episode of the series/season. Things are taking place in the present as we see how a project is paused and what the consequence of it. Quite the outcome it delivered.

Future: Penultimate episode of the series/season. The episode title refers to the gang referring to the future one that is without Simon. This is interesting and funny as this was written and directed by Simon himself.

Knock Knock: Season 3 finale. Knock Knock is also the name of an episode of Peter Capaldi's own third season as the Doctor, and David and guest Jim Broadbent had also played Doctors. Broadbent had been the Comic Relief Eleventh Doctor and David's Broadchurch co-star Olivia Colman who appears here was in the full debut of the official Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith, The Eleventh Hour. This finale has everyone doing A Christmas Carol by zoom and Doctor Who's own A Christmas Carol almost a year after David left as the Tenth Doctor. Quite quirky the finale being presented this way with A Christmas Carol in what is probably lights out for Staged.

Staged ran/released for three seasons between June 10 2020 and November 24 2022. This has David Tennant and Michael Sheen along with their loved ones playing fictionalised versions of themselves as they communicate via zoom from their respective homes due to COVID. Very amusing this series presents in the midst of the COVID world as they talk about what concerned them including acting jobs. An amusing take on the COVID world that we now live in.
