Not much to say here, it was good. However the trailer, Daleks? Not again! ;D

A brilliant episode in my opinion, a little bit shaky to begin with but it certainly found it's feet. Catherine Tate was wonderful (but I'm expecting the majority to take their time slagging her off no end when they get the chance) and the trailer for series three was spectacular, full of fantastic little teasers. Now I'd better start writing the synopsis, should be up in a couple of days.

I was pleasently surprised by Tate. I was expecting her to be truely awful and she was quite the opposite. I even found her funny, which her usual routine isn't.
The episode took a while to get going but when it did the story moved on at a nice pace.
My only moan was the rescue scene... when is RTD going to watch the classic episodes and realise that the TARDIS does not fly, but instead dematerialises one place and rematerialises somewhere else.
Over all, I give it an 8 out of 10.

OK sorry to ruin the mood, like I did an awful lot earlier in the year.
I thought this was truly dreadful, staggering rubbish. What were they thinking placing Catherine Tate in Dr Who. She couldn't act her way out of a paper bag IMO. Even Tennant struggled to lift the mediocre feel of the episode. The story was poor, but then RTD wrote it so I can't expect better.
Overall, for me, 3 out of 10.

Tate was good, the script was funny, the special effects were brilliant, and the chase sequence was done very well. All round a class act. The trailers were appetising, too. More Daleks? Yes, please.

If you look at the Series 3 Trailer on the BBC Website, you'll notice that they've "omitted" something. *coughdalekseccough*

This is for U.S. fans or fans elsewhere who haven't seen this episode yet. That is if you want to read it. I wish I hadn't read it so it would have been a surprise. Although, by the time I see the episode I'll probably will have forgotten it. I read on another website that the Doctor's home planet of Galifrey will finally be mentioned by name. About time.

Yup, that's true. All we need now is for it to come back.

I`ll admit Tate wasn`t bad in parts when she wasn`t acting OTT with the shouting and acting like an angry chav charater. But the story itself just seemed to lack something. The main villianess seemed lame and cliched

The main villianess seemed lame and cliched OTT? Going by what I read in the preceding posts, it sounds like the Daleks are in it. Or is that a preview of the following episode? Either way, Daleks again? Are we ever going to be rid of them? Sheesh!

OTT = Over The Top, aka overacting.

I think they DID actually register that, hence the doctor's quote: "To be honest, for a spaceship she hasnt really done much flying" I think it could actually be a cool addition, depending on how they use it. Oh yeah, and- that was why the TARDIS practically blew itself up while on the motorway.

It was a good DW but after seeing the trailers i did feel a little let down,it did seem to lack that punch however some good humour and the tear jerker of tennants voice when saying rose at the end did bring a tear to my eye,i thought the racknoss was superb though good to see no cgi there!!and catherine tate was quite a surprise even my wife said she was quite a good actress

I didn't watch the trailer that thuroughly, because I could watch it online afterwards, but it seems the Dalek isnt in the online ones? Can anyone tell me if the Dalek was Black?
