Do you all remember the bad feeling we had about Love & Monsters before it aired? Look how right we were. I have a really bad feeling about the Christmas one.

If glamour model Jordan gets a part in Doctor Who I'll immediately go and complain to the European Human Rights Courts- that is something NO ONE should have to bear!

IMO Catherine Tate isn't very funny as a comedian, but I'll give her a chance. After all she won't be the first to not fit very well... Alexi Sayle in Revelation of the Daleks... *Shudder*

Found this on the BBC website: No sooner had the Doctor said a tear-stained farewell to Rose Tyler, then he found himself face-to-face with a woman dressed in a fluffy white Wedding frock. Who is she? Who is she supposed to be marrying? And how did she get on board the TARDIS?
These questions will all be answered in this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special, The Runaway Bride. The Bride herself - whose name is Donna, by the way - will be played by award-winning comedienne Catherine Tate, the star of her own BBC Two sketch show.
"I'm honoured and delighted to be joining David Tennant aboard the TARDIS," Catherine said. "I was holding out for summer season at Wigan rep but as a summer job this'll do."
Russell T Davies added: "After two years of travelling with Rose, the TARDIS is in for a bumpy ride with Donna on board."Is Catherine Tate actually going become a new companion?

On reflection, I suppose we humans are quick to pan everything. It'll be interesting to see what this is all about e.t.c.

Oh, come now, lads. It's as if you want the third series to fail straight-away. It's only one episode. Let her have her moment in the Who sun. She needs all the help she can get. ;D
Just enjoy them as they come. ;D
I'm thankful to have the show back after nearly 20 years to be honest.

From the DW BBC website:
Russell reveals Runaway Bride origins in DWM special
Russell T Davies has explained the genesis of this year's Christmas Special in the pages of Doctor Who Magazine's Series Two Companion.
"The Runaway Bride was another of those ideas I'd had for ages, ever since the return of Doctor Who was first announced," he said.
"Then, at the BAFTA screening of The Parting of the Ways, Jane Tranter announced not just the 2005 Christmas Special, but another for 2006 as well (I swear, Julie Gardner had forgotten to tell me about the 2006 one - as Jane was on the microphone, Julie was watching my head explode. 'Oh yes, sorry, I knew there was something I meant to tell you...')
"And since we all knew that Billie would be leaving at the end of Series Two, and that I didn't want to introduce the new companion until the start of Series Three, then suddenly The Runaway Bride took on a whole new lease of life," he added.
"So the story was taken out of Series Two, elevated to Christmas, and the gap was filled by Tooth and Claw, which was bumped up to the second slot..."[/i]
I am still hoping this 'Bride' will only be in the Christmas episode...

I think the cliffhanger ending to 'Doomsday' could've been a little bit better, but then I'd be going into the episode with high expectations and would be dissapointed more easily. I wonder how some generic (yet competant) actress in place of Catherine Tate would've fared?
