I hope all of you like David Tennant cause he'll be around longer than Eccleston. How long do you want him to stay for?

I think 3 seasons would be great (4 would be better). He could no doubt stick around as long as Tom Baker did but I think he may want to move onto other projects. I also think that all future Doctors should stick around for a minimum of 2 seasons

Me? Three years, that is from 2005 to 2008. Then how about his sucessor staying on from 2009 to 2015 or is that just another musing of a man who's (no pun intended) losing his mind?

I'd like to see him stay for a while longer yet, at least another season or two but I can understand if he'd want to move on and do something else.

Three or preferably four seasons would be good.
I do wish they would make each season longer, more like US series have 24 episodes per season.

If you have too many stories in a season you might just find yourself running out of story ideas very quickly. Also a person can only pad a story so much before it gets tedious. That is assuming you're talking about 24 45minute episodes here.

You are probably right, but I would like more than the 12-13 episodes we are currently getting.

Although I have heard that when he signed up he was put on a contract for at least two series due to the surprise at Christopher Eccleston's sudden departure after series one. He may well have been signed up for longer than that, even though we've had no confirmation as to a series four yet.

Can't we just accept that he is staying for another series and then worry about afterwards after that. For all we know Dr. Who might not be renewed for another series after the next one.
