The bad news? It looks like Mickey could become a companion.

GET AWAY FROM EARTH! PLEASE! TARDIS=Time And Relative Dimension In Space. Get rid of Mickey and Jackie now before Doctor Who becomes a sci-fi soap. P.S. I have heard that Peter Davison could be set for an appearance as the Fifth Doctor some time, maybe in Season 3. I could not agree with you more on this! The family element is just too much. And if Peter Davison is to return, I would make the assumption it would coincide with the 200th story perhaps? I will agree that he is not the greatest of characters, but from what I read on the BBC site about the article in the March DWM, he wants us to believe his character will change 'for the better' by the end of his time on DW

It would be great to have several old enemies return. But the one thing that I would LOVE to see is the meeting of all the Doctor's that are still alive & their companions. I mean, they are all still alive & why not have other companions appear, ie. Susan, Ian, Barbara (I think she died a few years ago, but not sure), Jamie, Ben, Polly, Brigadier (Lethbridge-Stewert, not the one from Battlefield), Romana 1 or 2, Leela, Tegan, & Ace.
Most of these guys are in the audio stories, why not have them appear in the regular series.
Maybe make it like a The Six Doctors. Why not have previous footage used to show the other Doctors?
As far as villains go. I would like to see The Sontarans, the Rani, the Master, & Davros (he was what was missing in those 3 Dalek stories, I feel).

Does anyone else think that they will do a continuous story line such as something similar to the "Bad wolf" lines for series 2?

Agree with Chapel. Get the TARDIS away from London for a little while. Looks quite likely. Episode 1 - Some planet with cats running hospitals. Episode 2 - Historical with Queen Victoria and aliens. Episode 3 - Earth. School. Sarah Jane and K9. Episode 4 - France somewhere and somewhen. Episode 5 - London. Alternate Universe. Cybermen. Episode 6 - Still London. Alternate Universe. Cybermen. Episode 7 - The fifties. Episode 8 - An alien planet. At last. Episode 9 - Still an alien planet. Episode 10 - Earth. Peter Kay. Blue Peter monster. Episode 11 - London 2012 Olympics. Hope Jackie Tyler's dead by this time so she's not in it. Episode 12 - Cybermen again. Episode 13 - Cybermen and Daleks fighting each other.
So you see we might not go anywhere near Jackie Tyler and that part of London. Except in Alternate Universes all year.

As for what I'd like to see in the new series, well it's a bit late for that but what we've got looks wonderful enough. Although with a bit of luck we'll not see so much of the romance between the Doctor and Rose, it just doesn't work for me.

Nothing against Star Trek but Kirkisgod is making me like it less and less by the minute. Just because we brits came up with a better idea than you for once you don't have to get so upset.

See here`s what annoys me about trek fans. They were the same when the last three star wars movies came out. Lets face facts, star trek is a mediocre sci fi show. They haven`t done anything interesting since "Best of Both worlds". Every next generation movie has been a substandard rehash of wrath of Khan. Don`t agree with me? Hmmm Every TNG movie involves a nebula, which somehow compomises the Enterprises shields or similar and a battle always takes place in said nebula with Enterprise being outgunned.
THEY CANT CHANGE THE BLOODY FORMULA!!
They couldn`t even think of half the stories DR Who`s done. Hell They`d do a whole season on Captain Jacks sexuality, whereas the Crew from Dr Who realised that a person isn`t defined by that. Put it this way, I know a whole message board full of wrestling fans who`re everything from Lawyers to Chiefs and sing language specalists. All intelligent men and almost all american. They`ve got a whole 5 page thread dedicated to how much they enjoy the new series of Doctor who. Not one of them will entertain the thought of watching star trek! So please shut up and go cry about the death of star trek instead of coming here. You`ll need the energy to inflate your girl friend.
Oh Yeah and I heard the finale is the Gelph and the cybermen not the daleks and the cybermen
Can I have trekrulesall`s email please so I can annoy the living crap out of him/her/it
