This has to be an improvment on part one, for me? 5 Stars.

Again I shall agree with you there, this was a spectacular episode and my only regret was that I never got to see it as it was broadcast, I watched a recording of it afterwards. The special effects were simply stunning in this episode, and the storyline had a wonderful mix of tension and emotion. The ending did seem a bit confusing at the time, what with the Doctor dying from absorbing the time vortex energy and Rose not, but then I realised it was channeling her, not absorbing into her like it did the Doctor.
So for me this really was one of the high points for the series, a wonderful end to Christopher Eccleston's character and a great entrance for David Tennant.

Definately the best of the season. The return of the Daleks proper, was well worth the wait. The revelation of "Bad Wolf" was again worth the wait.
I remember at the time hoping that the saviour of the Dalek race had been Davros, but I was dissapointed with the Emperer Dalek.
The only thing I wasn't happy with was wiping them all out. I mean, they are the archetypal Dr Who enemy after all, so killing them off seems like a real and genuine waste.
But I love this episode.

Dear oh dear. A poor season finale. No tension and the Daleks are dismissed with a wave of Rose's hand. Utter nonsence.

Dear oh dear. A poor season finale. No tension and the Daleks are dismissed with a wave of Rose's hand. Utter nonsence. I think there was a lot of tension, such as when the stranded people on the bottom floor are waiting to see if they are attacked and Lynda's death was very tense. However I sort of agree with you on the Rose issue, perhaps a bit anticlimactic but I warmed to it with time.

I agree that the ending could have been better than just a wave of Rose/The Vortex's hand but it still works I think.

4/5. A great dramatic episode but the solution is quite anticlimatic and there's too much Tardis influence for my taste to give it 5/5.

A very impressive five stars from me. Fantastic episode!!!!!! I thought the solution to the bad wolf was brilliant.

When watching this story there was a point when the Doctor thought he was finished. Rather reminicent of 'Earthshock' methinks.

This episode was badly tainted by the first part. There was so much humor in Bad Wolf, that it made it hard to take The Parting of the Ways seriously. It didn't make sense that Jackie would help Rose return to face what seemed to the Doctor to be certain death. Still, it was an improvement to part one, and its always nice to see Daleks. The silly first part ruined it for me though. 2 stars out of 5.

I don't know that agree there.
Our parents don't always agree with the choices we make, but if it means so much to us (as it obviously did here with Rose) then they will pull out the stops. I don't see what Jackie did was any different. She didn't want Rose to go off into the future, fight Daleks and die, but I think even jackie had some faith in the Doctor to protect her daughter at the end of it.

I cant understand how some people dont like these episodes. Im more a classic series fan but I thought bad wolf/parting of the ways was one of the most enjoyable ive ever seen and I can watch them time and time again. The standing up regeneration was a novelty though.
