Now, I wonder how davisonera would rate this one? ;D I know how I would: 5 StarsJust re-watched in fact, better than I previously remembered it to be honest.

2 stars. I'm not a fan of this story because I see the resemblance with Dune but Caves look like just a bad copy. The Phantom of the Opera part is better so it's 2 stars instead of just 1.

I don't much care for this story. Never did anything for me.

I agree with the above sentinments. I really don't remember much only the regeneration (which is the coolest of the lot), but that's about it. I give it about a 2 stars

Got this on DVD recently, I only realised it was the regeneration when it came to it! I think it had a nice little storyline, I gave it 4. The raters best friend.

The very best story Davison did, it was too bad for the series he left so soon. I think he could easily have done another couple of years.

I think its one of the Peter Davison's best performance as the Doctor and good story to regenerate at the end. Peter Davison has mentioned it before that it was one of his fav stories as the Doctor. I give it 4 Stars!

I was watching the regeneration sequence and the last thing the Doctor says, or thinks, is Adric's name. Read about that on another site and thought I'd take a look. Never noticed that before! Interesting. Have a look. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvAenK95PfQ

In the DVD info text for Part 1 of Caves of Androzani on the Revisitations 1 set it says that library stock footage of Monument Valley, Utah USA was used to double for the surface of Androzani Minor. Doctor Who later got to film in Utah for real in The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon during the Matt Smith era. Androzani itself got referenced during the Matt Smith era in The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe & The Name of the Doctor, the former of which included a brief appearance by Karen Gillan as Amy who was also in the earlier The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon. Not long before her Doctor Who swansong The Angels Take Manhattan, Karen was also in Manhattan in the TV movie We’ll Take Manhattan and playing her father in this TV movie was Robert Glenister who played Salateen in the said Caves of Androzani.

In the DVD info text in Part 3 of The Caves of Androzani on the Revisitation 1 set it included the definition of what an a.d.c. is and it stands for aide-de-camp. However it stated that a.d.c. is an acronym and that is erroneous. This is because acronyms are initials that can be pronounce as a word and a.d.c. is not pronounced as a word but three letters said together in quick succession.

Not a big Davison fan, but I have to admit, the ending is pretty awesome. I gave it a 3.
