Well, you write much more than me. Are you related to The Thinker? I hope not!

I dont think any of the posters are related to each other. None of this, however has to do with the subject I raised-animated reconstructions.

Things do tend to go off topic around here. Anyway, going on animated reconstructions, I think they should go a little bit further and use CGI to create more realistic looking characters, thus a smoother transition from episode to episode.

The problem is it would be unbelievably expensive. Indeed despite selling well compared to other titles in the Classic Doctor Who range, I gather the DVD of 'Invasion' didn't sell well enough to warrent further animated reconstrucions, which means it may well become a one-off. Back on topic, I'd go with 'The Ice Warriors'; the existing material is brilliant and I'd love to see the missing episodes restored properly.

Expenses, expenses. Why don't they people learn; you can't put a price on a good Doctor Who episode.

I really hope the Global Moderator is wrong. I think the classic fans would peronally fund completing Classic Series dvds that are miising episodes with animation. I know I would, as much as my pocketbook would allow.

"The Invasion" DVD is relatively new and for example during last days it was out of stock on play.com so there's still hope for an increase in the sales.

When he says it would cost a lot, he means A LOT. CGI is more annoying than people think (to make).

Anyone has any precise information about the cost of the animations? OK, they're expensive but they're not special effects applied to a movie, they're a sort of cartoon.

They may not be able to use CGI but possibly the next one animated will be of a higher caliber of animation. I liked the black and white animation.

Higher caliber of animation? As in, don't bring in the guy who writes Garfield comics?
