I believe Clayton Hickman designs most of the DVD covers, although it might have been someone else.

Clayton Hickman does indeed design most of the covers but I think occasionally other people do them. The one for Inferno is very similar to one designed by Simon Holub on his website so I think he might have actually done that one.

By the looks of it 'The Sontaren Experiment' is up now for pre-order on several online-shops, with a tentative release date of 9th October.

For how much I wonder? Well seeing as it's not really a full release, it'll have a lower RRP than usual. The official BBC shop hasn't got it advertised yet but the more reliable retail sites have it marked as £12.99 RRP, with special deals selling it at around £9.99. Others seem to have put it as the usual £19.99 RRP but that'll probably change.

Well, I wouldn't quite put it like Nyder did, but I think you get the drift. ;D Here's hoping it's at the lower price range.

Just checked the official BBC shop website and they have the release listed with a RRP of £12.99, £7 less than usual.

I'm assuming, for 'The Sontaran Experiment', it's just the episodes as broadcast, no extras?

I'm assuming, for 'The Sontaran Experiment', it's just the episodes as broadcast, no extras? Well I'm not sure of the exact extras, nothing seems to have been said of them yet, but I believe there will be some, just not as many as some other releases. Along with the fully restored episodes we usually we get a commentary, a documentary or two, the production subtitles, photo gallery, continuity announcements, deleted scenes (if any), the press billings and an isolated music score among other things, whereas with this release we might just see either a commentary or documentary (both can be rather similar) and maybe the production subtitles and photo gallery. The idea of releasing the two parters, with fewer extras, is to fill in the gaps in the release schedule (usually it averages as a release every two months, with these reduced packages they can bring out a few more per year.) UPDATE: According to the Restoration Team website, the release will feature a commentary, production subtitles and a photo gallery. A documentary about the Sontarans is also included

Personally, I'm not keen on Sontarans, but I'm going to buy this one anyway for the sake of completeness. I'm aiming to own ALL of the Tom Baker Doctor Who DVD releases.
