She's not gonna be a companion just for one episode, give her a chance, it's got to be better than Peter Kay in Love & Monsters. The Runaway Bride is a weird title choice, is Richard Curtis writing.

Personally I think this sounds more like a fan's imagination but I would love if it was true! Though shouldn't there be 13 episodes? And which of these would be be the 3 double stories? Also how would they get away with the ten doctors?... Unless the episode is animated/cartoon?

I thought I'd chip in that over at Outpost Gallifrey there's a report that according to Russell T Davies' production notes in the new Doctor Who Magazine, there will be no Ice Warriors in series three, but there will be two returning 'monsters' and Rose will not be making a re-appearance despite some media claims. Also in the notes he does say that new companion Martha will have a family who will be revisited over the series but no ex-boyfriend. P.S Since this thread is about 'The Runaway Bride' and not series three in general I'll repost this information in the 'Current Series' Messageboard, please discuss the information there rather than here. So if the Pilot fish are making a return (good move IMO), does that automatically mean the return of the Sycorax. But also would these pilot fish be in the santa suits? Because if it is centered around a wedding then surely there is no Christmas setting?

Because if it is centered around a wedding then surely there is no Christmas setting? There have been reports from the set that there have been people dressed in a similar fashion to the pilot fish last year so I suppose that gives it a Christmas setting. Whether that signals the return of the Sycorax or not I'm not sure, although it would make sense if it did.

If that is so then what's with the Sycorax appearing at Christmas 2 years in a row? I suppose we can only wait and see.

Very true, although there have been rumours that this story takes place at the same time as last year's Christmas special so there's a chance they return, but as you say we'll have to wait and see

I have so many questions about how this could work if it is indeed occuring during the same time of the last Christmas episode, I appologise Dom if you feel I am asking you these questions.

Well, I'm off to go and have a lay down, all this confusion's made my brain hurt I have so many questions about how this could work if it is indeed occuring during the same time of the last Christmas episode, I appologise Dom if you feel I am asking you these questions. As you say there are many questions to be asked on this subject and the various set reports only confuse things. There have been talks of seeing the shop Rose worked in again and various other ties to the previous Christmas special, which is rather odd. Maybe we'll find out a bit more about the episode as the year progresses, there'll be interviews with magazines and television programmes as Christmas draws closer, so I should think more will be revealed then.
