There were many teenage companions who were actually enjoyable in the series. Aye, but they didn't continually whine about only God knows what though.

I see that most of the votes are no. I'm probably going get booed by the Adric bashers for the next thing I say, but I don't give a hoot. OK, here goes. In a future (no pun intended) episode, the Doctor discovers that another Time Lord (a very good one) survived and starts traveling with the Doctor. Let's say a female. I'll give her a name: Kira. At some point, she finds out about Adric. It's found that Kira had gone back 65 million years (before the Time War, of course) to discover what exactly killed the dinosaurs. I think anyone can guess what I have in mind next. Her TARDIS barely takes off in time and is thrown out of control. In all the shake, rattle, and roll, Adric hits his head and doesn't remember stowing away on the Doctor's TARDIS. Kira then brings Adric home to Terradon (her TARDIS can handle E-space, newer model). All this is revealed when Kira, using her TARDIS, brings the Doctor, and whoever is with him, into E-space and reunites them. ;D OK, there it is. Bring it on, Adric bashers!

First of all, which story is this from? Second, the canonical status of all expanded media stories is questionable, and thus only TV episodes can be counted as definitive. Any expanded universe stories that are written, can easily be overriden by the next one, so I think the point is moot that: Adric is dead.

This isn't from any story. I'm making it up as a TV episode. Besides, if writers can come up with stuff that contradicts what happened in previous episodes then so can I. ;D (not just talking about DW) Look at all the different reasons the Doctor has given for leaving Galifrey in the first place. I guess since I'm not an "Adric basher", I decided to think of a scenario that has him rescued at the last second.

Just using my very detailed imagination. Adric's death was one of those "if only he knew" things. I was doing a "what if". I was watching the part when he shakes hands with the Doctor and says goodbye, on YouTube. How prophetic was that? The clip stopped right after that. I wonder, when originally broadcast, if any viewers guessed that Adric wasn't going to make it.

Just finished watching Four to Doomsday. I'm starting to get why some fans felt the way they did about Adric, especially during the first few minutes of this episode. What he said to Nyssa and Teagan, I'd say that deserved a smack! After I watched that scene few times, it started sounding familiar. Guess I need an Adric refresher course! ;D No, he still didn't deserve to die!

To quote Allison from "Remembrance of the Daleks", "Good riddance to bad rubbish."
