Noticed today that 10 has been rerunning the first season of K9 at its usual slot of Saturdays 9:30am.
Did a little research on this and found out that 10 began rerunning the series on April 2, the day before the first anniversary of K9's debut on 10.

After the first 26 episode season of K9, Philippa Coulthard (Jorjie) was in another 26 episode children sci fi series Lightning Point. Her involvement in Lightning Point may have something to do with the fact that Cherrie Bottger was Executive Producer for Ten of Lightning Point and was in this same capacity for K9. Like the second season of K9, the second season of Lightning Point is said to be in progress even though the second seasons of both shows have yet to start production.
So in lieu of any further production of Lightning Point at the moment, its production team has made a compilation movie made from existing material from the series detailing its story arc.
Due to Phillipa Coulthard alone it had me thinking whether there is a K9 compilation movie.
Being a Doctor Who fan I would think that if such a compilation movie existed, the information of which would have been widely circulated by now. So in the absence of any evidence of this, I can only conclude that a K9 compilation movie is non-existent.

I posted these remarks at the K9 Official Page at facebook and was surprised to get a response from them on this: “It was indeed discussed that a compilation movie from the season of "K9" be put together but we felt it better to leave the show as it is in its 26 part format.”
