Best Story of Season 6

Final one in the Troughton series. I went for 'The Invasion', well written and a masterpiece in my opinion.

I agree with this one too. The only disappointment with The Invasion is that the Cybermen themselves are treated as machines. Only Tobias Vaughan and the Cyber controller actually get any dialogue, so the rest of the Cybermen are nothing more than cannon fodder. But that's a minor quibble in what is otherwise a fantastic story.

War Games... well, it didn't particuarly work for me as an ending. I have to go for the Invasion.

I think I would change my mind on this one. I now would vote for The Invasion.

The invasion is iconic and the best classic cyberman story.

I preferred the set-up of the War Games (episodes 1-3 I think), though some of the running around in the latter half of the story was annoying and the endless fighting palled when watched in one go on dvd. Neat ending though.
